Review : Masquerade (Games #3) by Nyrae Dawn

Summary :

A biker. A tattoo artist. A love to last a lifetime.

Maddox Cross has always had to be tough. When his father went to jail for murder, the teenager took care of his sister and mother. Now on his own and working security at a night club, Maddox wants to become a tattoo artist-a dream that comes closer to reality when he falls for the hottest, most tatted woman he's ever seen. She's wild and beautiful, and Maddox will do anything to be with her.

Bee Malone came to town to open up her new tattoo parlor, Masquerade. Since being kidnapped as a young girl, Bee has had trouble getting close to anyone. But when she meets Maddox, she sees that under his hard biker's body is the sensitive soul of an artist. What starts out as a sizzling one-night stand soon becomes so much more.

Bee wants Maddox to join her tattoo business, but letting him into her life means revealing all her most intimate secrets. And as the past begins to intertwine with her present, Bee fears their love may not be as permanent as their ink . . .

Review :

Masquerade is one of those sexy, quick reads that pull you into the story, charm and bewitch you. It’s easy, it’s funny, it’s pretty darn adorable and has everything you wish for a one night of total bliss. Maybe it’s not a novel that you will cherish forever nor is it completely unique experience, but when you are looking for instant ‘read and have fun’ book, Masquerade will do great.

This story is about two very closed of people. They don’t tend to share their secrets or feelings with anyone. They’re living a lonely life. Both, Bee and Maddox have a fair amount of skeletons in the cupboards and don’t like to talk or even think about them. That’s way they try to avoid contact with people who could shatter their walls and see inside them. So relationship of an sorts are out of the questions. They only look for one night stand. The fortune, though had a few surprises for them.

After their spent one passionate night with each other and go their separate ways the next day they see each other again. Maddox wants to be apprentice in Bee’s tattoo parlor Masquerade.
Their passion for art, extreme stubbornness and off the charts lust brings them closer. But how close?

Overall, Masquerade is a read I recommend for those looking for something quick to read in between. It’s not my favorite book, and I won’t be coming back to it, but I had a blast and spent a nice, relaxing few hours.
