Review : The Sweetest Game (The Perfect Game #3) By J. Sterling

SUMMARY :

This is the third (and final) installment in Jack & Cassie's story!

“It’s one hell of a sledgehammer to the chest when your baseball career comes to an end. It’s like you finally realize that baseball never loved you back. All the sleepless nights, the hours spent at the gym trying to stay fit, the conditioning, the training, the mental preparation, the holiday’s missed, the birthday’s passed, the memories you didn’t get to make with your family…all for what? It’s not like baseball lost any sleep over you. She didn’t stay awake for nights on end trying to figure out how to make you a better player. She didn’t care. Baseball’s a business. A sport. A game. And as much as my entire life has been wrapped up in it, it’s time to let it go.”
- Jack Carter

REVIEW :

“I’m yours. There will never come a time when I don’t belong to you. It’s you for me, or no one. You hear me? Only you. Only yours. Forever.”

This is how you wrap up the last book of a series!! Hands down loved every page. Thank you for not desecrating jack and Cassie and their love. Thank you for keeping the integrity of their characters and their love. Thank you for no over the top bullshit drama. Thank you for giving me a more than just a happy ending. Thank you for not making Cassie annoying. The moment she realized jack was her home, and all she needed.... Beautiful.

I loved Jack fucking carter! I loved Cassie. This was a great way to send Jack and Cassie off for the last time. It starts off at their wedding and them living life in New York. Jack is injured and it takes a huge toll on him. He acts like a jackass until he finally gets his shit straight. With Cassie by his side, he's unstoppable.
We get a baby Carter!!! We get success in Jacks career. We get a grown up, loving Jack who would do anything for the love of his life and their son Chance fucking Carter. The depth of jack and Cassie's love is loud and clear in this book. I ate it all up.
I'm wondering if there's a book in the future for the Carter offspring??
Loved that Dean and Jack were still close and razzed each other. Glad that gran and gramps still had a role in the book and with Jack and Cassie.I am so completely satisfied with the wrap up of the Carter's. I mean this is what you need when two of your favorite book couples is coming to an end.

RATINGS : 5/5 STARS
